Courage to Knock:

The 5-Question Method

"Hi, I'm [Your name], and I'm praying for people in our neighbourhood today.  Is there anythibng you'd like prayer for?"

Then ask these five questions:

What is something you wish God would change in the world?

22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

Romans 8:22

What about in our town, is there somnething you wish God would do here?

7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

Jeremiah 29:7

In your family, is there anything you'd like God to help with?

6 God sets the lonely in families,[a] he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

a. Or the desolate in a homeland.

Psalm 68:6

Is there anythinbg you personally would like God to do for you?

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Matthew 7:7

Do you have any relationship with Jesus Christ?

15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

1 Peter 3:15

Our main objective is to "build bridges" between CLBC and the Community of Hayes & Harlington in a Christian way; and also to "build bridges" between the different faith groups particularly in Hayes.

The Great Commission of our Lord:
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.

Matthew 28:19-20

Evangelism involves several key actions: telling the good news, announcing the kingdom (reign) of God, and bearing witness.

Some of the ways we use to achieve our objectives are by participating in local events and also by staging our own events throughout the year.  The following are some of the things we at CLBC have done and are doing:

•   Coffee Mornings
•   Jumble Sales
•   Community Fun Day
•   Quiz Nights
•   Concerts
•   Hayes Carnival

We ask all to individualy support us in prayer for our Bridgebuilders team meeting's. By keeping His teaching in sight, our Bridgebuilders team are praying for God to speak to them on their purpose within the community of Hayes in building His church and for His direction in the planning of events for outreach within the church.

Advice and leaflets on community matters in the borough are always available in the foyer of the Church.  For more information about up and coming Bridegbuilders events please email the church office and mark emails for the attention of .
