About the Course

The Pre-Marriage Course is a series of five sessions developed by Nicky and Sila Lee, authors of The Marriage Book, who have been married for over forty years and have extensive experience in helping couples prepare for and strengthen their relationships. Although the course is based on Christian principles, it is designed to be helpful and relevant to couples from all faith backgrounds, including those with no particular religious or church background.

What Will We Explore?

Over five weekly sessions, we will explore five important areas of building a strong relationship:
❤️ Communication – learning to understand each other and communicate effectively.
❤️ Resolving Conflict – developing healthy ways to navigate disagreements.
❤️ Keeping Commitment Alive – nurturing trust, security and lasting commitment.
❤️ Building Connection – strengthening emotional intimacy and keeping your relationship close.
❤️ Shared Adventure – building a shared vision and looking forward to your future together.

Course Details

Dates: Wednesday 4, 11, 18 and 25 November, and 2 December 2026 at 7pm (BST).

Format: On Zoom, with five weekly sessions.

Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes per session.

How it works: Each session includes a video presentation followed by guided conversation time for you as a couple. You will have the opportunity to discuss the topics privately together. There is no group sharing, and you will not be asked to disclose personal details to other participants.

Cost: Attendance is generally free. However, each partner will need their own Guest Journal to use throughout the course. You can find information about the journals here:
