Home Message from Pastor Emmanuel
Following our communication that all Church activities are suspended until further notice. I am writing to share briefly how we plan to Keeping our church community connected during the Coronavirus shutdown.
Worshipping our God is important to us, He is worthy no matter what the circumstances and therefore we:
• Encourage you to continue worship wherever you are e.g. play CD’s or you Tube or Christian radio or Sunday service on BBC Radio 4 and or Songs of praise
• To begin with, twice a week I will send you a link of a recorded Bible message on Wednesdays and Sundays. We hope to put these on our website or our Facebook page.
• There are other options to keep in touch without meeting physically. We are looking to use technology to keep us focused in the build up to Easter and beyond!
2. Pastoral care
We plan to keep connected using phone, WhatsApp, email etc. But we want to make sure that everyone is phoned – hearing a voice is much better than a text message only. So, watch the space, keep an eye out for another email, with updates
3. Prayer Let’s keep connected through prayer. You may like to pray through the words of 2 Chronicles 7 v14. Ask for mercy and healing, peace and calm. Entrust to God the NHS, the Government, key workers and those who have been bereaved
4. Stability of finance
The church family has been faithful & generous with their giving to CLBC – thank you for your generosity. We would like to encourage those of you who normally give cash offering, to really consider setting up payment to the church bank account (for more information on this please contact Peter).
Finally, we will be finding other ways to stay connected to God, each other and the community around us. You will later receive an email about a possibility of us being the Church, the hands and feet of Christ, to share the Gospel and be generous. I am sure you will agree, many people will be open to listen to the message of hope and salvation. Let us encourage, share and serve.
Please tell us if you are self-isolating and/or in need of support, especially if you have no-one to help you obtain supplies. We will do all we can to help you.
God bless you,
C.O.V.I.D. – 19
